Slick Chicks x The American Cancer Society: Meet Michele

Slick Chicks has partnered with the American Cancer Society to help raise awareness and funds to improve the lives of people with cancer and their loved ones. 10% of all Slick Chicks purchases from December 1st to December 31st will help to raise vital funds for the American Cancer Society. These donations will help to fund advocacy, groundbreaking research, and patient support programs across the United States.

About Michele

Michele Brodtman is a mother of two daughters, an avid runner, and an elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience. In 2008, Michele was diagnosed with Stage 4 Laryngeal cancer. Throughout her cancer treatment, Michele was determined to get healthy through her love of running. Since her diagnosis, Michele has devoted her time to the American Cancer Society, encouraging survivors and those currently undergoing treatment by participating in the American Cancer Society DetermiNation® event endurance program. With the help of her coaches on the DetermiNation® team, Michele was able to finish the New York City Marathon this past November — her twelfth marathon in total. She is a true inspiration for those fighting cancer and for survivors of the disease, just like herself. Michele’s fighting spirit and determination to give back are just two of the many reasons we are deeply honored to have her as a Slick Chicks ambassador.
